Class Charts
Welcome to Class Charts.
This is a system that runs on your phone or through a web browser to inform you of positive points, behaviour points, homework, attendance and detentions for your child. Class Charts will also deliver announcements from the school and offer a 2-way messaging service for you and your child’s key staff in school. A letter is being issued to all parents via SchoolComms with your log in details and how to access Class Charts.
Class Charts is a user-friendly online system, which allows us to effectively monitor and report on homework, upload resources, positive points, rewards, consequences and detentions, as well as create seating plans used by teachers to maximise learning potential in the classroom. The programme has many advantages, both for teachers and for parents and pupils; the biggest advantage for parents is that you can download an app on your phone or tablet which gives you live data and information on your child. It is also much better at helping us communicate with you. For pupils, there is a live rewards system, which will eventually enable them to choose rewards online once they reach positive points milestones. If you have more than one child at Budehaven Community School you can use the plus sign in the top right hand corner with the additional access codes you have received. Please note that we will continue to use the e-mail system to record and track pupils’ academic progress and issue reports.
We strongly believe that both these systems will provide staff, parents and students with a much better experience. We are currently reviewing the online systems that we use as a school with a view to streamlining our services in the future and in the meantime thank you for your patience and support.

What if both parents/guardians need separate accounts to access Class Charts?
If you require two accounts this is not a problem as the parent code that you are given for your child will never change and just links your child to your account. This means all you need to do is sign up for another account using another e-mail and then put in the parent code(s) and you will be able to access all the same information.
What happens if I have two or more children at the school?
You don’t need to have more than one Class Charts account you can simply add the siblings using their parent access code you will have been given. To add another child to your Class Charts account, click on the add child option in the website menu or the add child icon within the app. You will then be asked for an access code. Next, enter your parent access code for the child you wish to add. This code will have been given to you by the school and is unique for that pupil.
