SDJMr  S Johns - Leader of Year 9

Year 9 is full of great opportunities. By the end of Year 9, pupils will have chosen their options for GCSE and/or vocational subjects and will be ready for their examination courses to start in Year 10. With high expectations we will support every student in achieving their potential and optimising their personal development.

Throughout Year 9, pupils will learn the academic skills and personal attributes required to achieve their personal best - this lays the foundation for their GCSE studies and beyond. As well as subject-specific skills, pupils will learn these skills and attributes through an enriching and extensive tutor programme, Personal and Social Health and Economic education, Careers Guidance and also access to a fantastic selection of  extra-curricular clubs and activities. I encourage every child to take as many opportunities as they are able to.

Never has it been more important to live in the moment and be present (individually and socially). New experiences, a desire to learn, all combined with a positive attitude, will shape the person that your child will become.

Your child's form tutor will be your key contact for any day to day updates and enquiries, and we look forward to, with your support, ensuring that your child has the best experience possible.
